Karmichael Hunt Brisbane Broncos Australia New ZealandBrisbane Broncos fullback Karmichael Hunt has been scratched from Brisbane’s NRL home game with St George Illawarra on Friday night.

Hunt has failed to recover from a calf muscle strain suffered in Brisbane’s tough loss to the Warriors at the weekend.

The good news is Hunt, who is also battling an eye infection, is only facing one week on the sidelines.

Winger Denan Kemp, the NRL’s equal leading try scorer with 15, will play fullback on Friday night.

Veteran lock Tonie Carroll will also miss the clash with the Dragons with a hamstring problem.

This missing stars are sure to leave a gap in the Broncos team who are still without Justin Hodges, still with a week to go on his suspension.

A loss for Brisbane not only hammers their Top 4 chances, but really brings them back to the chasing group at the bottom of the NRL Top 8 and could give them the wobbles in the remaining rounds.

  1. I am a die-hard fan of the Brisbane Broncos and it really affects me when they lose. I’m hoping for another grand final win this year for the boys..

Their defence seems to be lacking abit so they need to work on that..
