Wade McKinnon returns for NZ

NZ Warriors boom fullback Wade McKinnon was immediately reinstated for this weeks New Zealand Warriors team to face Manly in Saturday’s NRL preliminary final - coach Ivan Cleary pondering a tough call to inject the game breaking custodian into the side after replacement Lance Hohia performed so well in the last 2 weeks.
McKinnon has sat out the past three weeks after being found guilty of spitting at a touch judge in the Warriors’ home win over Penrith in the penultimate round of the regular season.
Utility Lance Hohaia, his replacement in the No 1 jersey in his absence, goes on to an expanded six-man bench.
McKinnon’s reintroduction for the sudden-death clash with the Sea Eagles at the Sydney Football Stadium for a place in the grand final is the only change to the Warriors’ starting 13.

- Jess. : I was more interested in the islander games, at least there were guys there barely known, so it wasnt like they could talk themselves up about what a great player they are and how big their paypackets are. They are hardworkers and they put their heads down and get the job done, and are humble too.

- Jess. : they should have put a lid on it, but instead they chose to talk themselves up and look where that got them

- Jess. : Their attitude was crap, their teamwork was crap, their play was crap, but their ego was HUGE
- Hate Qld : it was someone at the pub playing the tough guy only to be knocked down by someone smaller ,faster and smarter
- Jess. : there were many problems from the start. I knew it would end in tears for the Aussies. I even said it to my mum. I knew NZ were going to win.
- Hate Qld : when NZ did their tradition dance the aussies had a smart arse look
- Jess. : that too
- Hate Qld : The smart arse attitude beat the aussies too cocky
- Jess. : yes, they are good, but they just have no respect for their friends and fellow players when they dive in there like that and deliberately try and inflict the most damage possible. Its absolutely not on!
- Jess. : There was no love and no family like the NZ side. They had a real bond and a real friendship which showed and I think that's a huge part of what helped them win apart from their great play of course
- Hate Qld : I know what you are saying Jess but did you notice that every strom player can play in many positions without any dramas thats why they are so good and yes the wresting has to be cut out
- Jess. : I saw a BIG lack of teamwork in the Australian side. Thurston was just in it for himself trying too hard to keep his position from Scott Prince, Slater was just trying to show off and do everything himself and there were a lot of individual efforts that went no where, and no real team tactic
- Hate Qld : I know you are not doubting Gidley Jess ,both are very good but Gidley was the reason why newcastle did so well,he was a stand out
- Jess. : Bellamy does not seem like the type of coach that really teaches good values, I mean hardly any teamwork(all the players are in it for themselves), no respect(wrestlin g tactics need I say more) and just general abuse for the opposing players
- Hate Qld : Gidley has more options then Stewart in attack and his read of the game is good he also is very srong in defence
- Jess. : I'm not doubting his ability at all, he is a fantastic player, but I really thought he should have been put in for more time
- RickyRicardo : And every team has a true leader like Beaver and Pricey Jess. Buderus for the Knights, Hindmarsh for the Eels etc. And I think that is just a result because of the way that Stuart coaches.
- Hate Qld : Sorry Jees but Kurt Gidl;ey neede to be in there
- Jess. : absolutely hate! and Bellamy too I think!
- Hate Qld : have you notice any stuart coached teams have attitude problems look at our aussie side
- Jess. : i was especially angry when Bellamy only put Brett Stewart on the field in State of Origin for 22 minuted
- RickyRicardo : Mundine was always a joke. And to think he wants to come back and play NRL. The minute you saw Sonny Bill with Mundine, something smelled fishy.
- Jess. : absolutely, I cannot stand him for anything, never have. I just hate when Bellamy and Stuart constantly choose Rooster and Melbourne players, and overlook anyone else except to fill the gaps
- Hate Qld : Price was a true leader i would love to read his book,he tells all in that book
- Hate Qld : Mason believed he was biggervthen the game and brought that attitude at teh club showed everyone that they can stand up to admin his mouth is bigger then his brain
- Jess. : Steve Price is someone I admire and I think he is a fantastic leader just like Beaver or Reuben Wiki. There is no competition between Price and Mundine
- Jess. : Mundine is a joke.
- Hate Qld : sonny needed guidance he was lost once steve price left the dogs then he turned to mundine "need i say more"
- Jess. : what did Mason do exactly hate?
- Jess. : and he has easily outdone mason tenfold on the "dog" factor
- Jess. : its strange becuase a certain interview at the footy show with Phil Gould sticks out in my head with Sonny Bill talking about how he should be allowed to play state of origin and that he swore his allegience with the Bulldogs and basically said he looked up to mason and then stopped talking to him and called him a dog

- RickyRicardo : Bloody oath he was Jess. He didn't play until half way through the season and ended up with 14-16 tries or something. That whole incident at the start of 08 threw him off big time as well as the rest of the team.
- Jess. : I see, so was he basically a mason?
- Hate Qld : i think he didnt get n with folkes and others (not players) at the club the previous management was soft onec they got tough he wanted out
- Jess. : I hope so, he was a beacon of hope in 07 wasnt he Ricky?
- Jess. : yeah I heard that Hayne wasn't well liked either, a bit too cocky i think. He also got hammered in the RLWC, he just got stepped on and fell over in the mud constantly really. He was nothing at all!
- RickyRicardo : I guess there is only one way to find out :). And Maitua is a good player with a crap attitude. He keeps that up, then he'll be just like Bird. On the scrap heap. Well Jarryd Hayne has apparently turned to God now following his WC stint with Fiji. So we may see a new man and that form from back in 07

- Jess. : was it just because he was at the bulldogs that he was so poor, or was it that he wanted to go international?

- Jess. : do you think that will happen to Inglis, Slater or Folau?
- Hate Qld : Matiua is a good buy for the sharks he is a very good player but need to lose the attitude he had at the bulldogs
- Jess. : I felt sorry for Jarryd Hayne. I mean golden boy of 2007, and it was basically Jarryd who in 2008

- Hate Qld : newcastle had a better season they everyone thinks ,they lost a lot of close games and had a lot )i mean many) bad calls go against em
- RickyRicardo : Chances are he went ever be found unfortunately. People that get stuck in rips are rarely ever found. The Eels can surely only go forward can't they?
- Jess. : do you think Maitua was a good purchase for the Sharks?
- Hate Qld : i think the sharks will go backwards
- Jess. : I do have a soft spot for the warriors. They are all so nice and they are friendly and so close like a family, plus I was really behind them through finals season and before that, as long as they weren't playing manly of course
- Hate Qld : its a very sad that he has gone,this will bring everyone at the warriors closer its still a sad lost
- Jess. : really? why newcastle?
- Jess. : that poor angel, imagine his family not knowing what happened to him
- Hate Qld : while new zealand will be one up there newcastle are an other one to watch
- Jess. : absolutely hate, and I still pray for Sonny everyday.

- RickyRicardo : I think it will be quite close indeed yes. I reckon the New Zealand Warriors are the team to look out for this year.
- Hate Qld : no excuses for us but injuries did the same to us,not that we would have won the comp
- Hate Qld : I think they will,with "the willie mason mob gone" and a new coach they will have a better attitude
- Jess. : except maybe roosters or melbourne no offence anyone
- Jess. : i hope that doesnt happen to anyone again this season
- Jess. : i mean last season at the beginning the Titans were owning and were top of the table, then that plague of injuries happened and forced them to number 11 on the table.
- Hate Qld : his days are numbered Jess he makes a lot of silly errors
- Jess. : I hope for the doggies players sakes they get it together
- Jess. : he was the only one in their team i liked

- Jess. : the thing i am happiest about at the moment is Anthony Tupou going to the Sharks, he FINALLY left those roosters clowns!

- Jess. : they have to learn to work together, and know each others strengths and weaknesses

- Hate Qld : The bulldogs did well in rebuilding the team,but it will take time to settle
