Kris Inu Parramatta EelsKiwi Representative Kris Inu has been drafted into the Eels playing ground for next Saturday’s NRL pre-season game against the Panthers in Griffith.

Initially Inu wasn’t expected to take too much part in any of the Eels pre-season trial games, however a stop-start pre-season for the outside back has left him with little preparation for the 2009 NRl season.

Incoming coach Daniel Anderson has chosen to switch Kris Inu with Taulima Tautai for the regional pre-season game, to give the centre more time on the park.

“Krisnan has had a disrupted pre-season and we see this as a way of kick-starting things,” stated Anderson.

“He had a long break after the World Cup only returning at the start of January.

“He’s also had time off due to illness, after that break.

“We wanted to get Krisnan on to the field as soon as possible.”

Tautai is expected to get a run the week after, when the Eels face the Panthers again, this time at Penrith Park.

Parramatta will have 5 rep players on show initially, with Inu, Nathan Cayless, Fuifui Moimoi, Joe Galuvao (all New Zealand) and Etu Uaisele (Tonga) to take part in proceedings.
