NRL Team of the Week Round 4 2009Ricky Ricardo chooses his ‘Team of the Week for NRL Round 4’

Fullback: Darius Boyd – Carved up a non-existent Broncos defence with great kick returns and a solid performance. Should be included in the QLD Origin side.

Winger : Shaun Kenny-Dowall – Caused havoc for the Eels defence scoring two tries including an amazing leap and grab try off a chip.

Centre: Michael Jennings – Showed what a valuable player he is to the Panthers side scoring a try and making several strong runs

Centre: Sam Rapira – Played his heart out despite his team’s loss. Made solid metres and had his best game for the Warriors this year.

Winger: Fetuli Talanoa – Produced a dominant display and quite possibly his best for the Rabbitohs scoring two tries including a run-away intercept try that changed the game.

Five-eighth: Terry Campese – Yet again he showed what an important player he is to the Raiders as he was heavily involved their tries as well as kicking a field goal to put the game beyond reach. Almost guaranteed to be in the NSW side.

Halfback: Stacey Jones – The general is officially back. Its nearly as he was never gone to begin with. He has put in solid performances with a deft kicking game and great passing despite the Warriors loss to the Rabbitohs.

Prop: Michael Weyman – A man who has really changed his previously poor attitude and has put in strong consistent performers gaining strong metres and terrorizing opposition defences. Currently in the best form of his career.

Hooker: Michael Ennis – Played his best game in a Bulldogs jersey having a hand in all of their tries with some beautiful passing as well as some great plays around the ruck.

Prop: Luke Stuart – An extremely underrated player who always gives 110% every game and runs the ball hard providing many opportunities for the Rabbitohs.

Second Row: Trent Waterhouse – Is currently in top form and leading by example for the Panthers with a dominant running game as well as being solid in defence.

Second Row: Ben Creagh – Currently the Dragons go-to man with solid performances in both attack and defence. Amasses incredible tackle counts but still puts in the hard yards with strong metres. Scored a try to make it 2 tries from 2 games.

Lock: Michael Luck – Another player who has really stepped it up for the Warriors since Price’s injury. Always gets himself involved in attack and defence and proved a real handful for the Rabbitohs. Also scored the first try of the game.

Reserve 1: Rhys Hansbury – Has a very promising future for the Tigers in the NRL. Came on after Moltzen’s injury and made the fullback spot his own. Made great metres from kick returns and scored two tries in a great display.

Reserve 2: Tom Learoyd-Lahrs : Is having a stellar season making huge metres and providing the Raiders with a lot of solid go-forward and could get a bench spot for NSW.

Reserve 3: Zeb Taia: Since being dumped by the Eels are few years ago, Taia has stepped it up this year for the Knights proving to be one of their most influential forwards. Also scored a try.

Reserve 4: Frank Pritchard – Despite previous off-field incidents in the pre-season, Pritchard has showed no signs of looking back as he put in a strong performance for the Panthers in their win over the Tigers scoring a try.
