His return has been amazing, veteran NZ half Stacey Jones again helping his side to memorable win in golden point extra time over the Roosters. The little master doing his thing, the Warriors coming back to snatch a 17-16 victory.
Behind 16 zip at the half time break, things didn’t look good for New Zealand – but Jones was up to the task, the 32 year old guiding his side around and kicking to perfecting as the Roosters struggled to stop the tide turning.
Jones got over to score himself and set-up the other touchdowns through kicks for his teammates. The Roosters not scoring in the second term, with the Warriors pegging them all the way back to 16-16 at the full time siren.
Helped along by a good crowd of over 16,000 – the Warriors got the chocolates in extra time, Jones the man again – slotting a field goal on 5 minutes to win the match. The Warriors importantly stopping a 3 game loss run and securing a vital home win.
