The Wests Tigers will sorely miss workhorse backrower Chris Heighington this weekend, the timing far from ideal as they meet the Knights on Sunday.
Heighington has continued to grow in stature and ability since 2005, with some believing he could have made a bolter appearance in Origin this year.
While his form has been OK in 2009, he seems to be playing with a touch of frustration – in his past few games, there has been times where he has barked at teammates for poor passes, or lashed out in tackles which is unlike the Heighington of the past.
While Wests coach Tim Sheens’ named him in the starting 13, Heighington has so far failed to backup from an ankle injury he picked up in last Monday nights win over the Storm.
At this stage, blockbusting rookie Daine Laurie could get a recall – with the rangy forward named on a 5 man Sheens bench.
