Knights Dogs Round 11 2009 NRL Review The Knights were lucky to escape a massive late fightback by the Bulldogs, hanging on 22-14 at EnergyAustralia today in another match littered by questionable video referee calls.

Looking to prove a point after missing NSW State of Origin selection, Knights key-man Jarrod Mullen was the standout for his side with a top notch showing, but it was nearly all for nothing as the Dogs mounted a mammoth comeback late in the piece.

Chasing their tails big time at 20-0 down, the Bulldogs bounced back in the 2nd half with 3 touchdowns inside 9 minutes – rookie Jamal Idris and returning star Josh Morris crossing in the 48th and 52nd minute before a brilliant Andrew Ryan chip kick for the corner saw Bryson Goodwin close the gap to just six points.

But it wasn’t enough in the end, Mullen doing enough to steer his side away from danger and keep the 2 points for home side. The Knights now right back up in the mix high up the NRL Ladder.
