Danny Wicks Arrested

Former Dragons; now Knights forward Danny Wicks has been arrested by Newcastle Police after 8 drug-related charges were laid against him – as Police allege he was part of a wider drug-running network.
The 24 year old Wicks will face Newcastle Local Court to defend 6 instances of supplying a banned drug and 2 instances of holding an illegal drug.
Police Task Force Welham was formed by Grafton police nearly 6 months ago to look into the supply of amphetamine, cocaine and ecstacy.
Wicks was only 1 of 4 persons to be taken into custody by Police after raids in both Newcastle and Grafton.
He was arrested as he drove along Brunker Road yesterday morning and driven to a local police station where charges were laid.

- RickyRicardo : The Cowboys didn't take the kick, but what concerned the NRL was the fact that it pretty much happened according to script. That's why several players, player managers and other staff have been linked to the incident.
- RickyRicardo : Ryan Tandy, who is linked with the scandal knocked the ball on off the kick-off to give the Cowboys the ball. They got a repeat set, and around the 2 minute mark, Ryan Tandy conceded a penalty right in front of the posts.
- RickyRicardo : There was a whole ton of betting on the first points of the Dogs/Cowboys game being from a penalty goal. 95% of all bets taken for that game were relating to that incident.

- KING WALLY : burgess was a weapon in the tri nations last year, and played in the super league, he was always going to be succesfull in nrl.

- RickyRicardo : Dugan is the future of the NRL, and at such a young age already, he has a good grasp of the way game should be played. He has the skills to turn into a ball-player in the future, but he also has the skills to become one of the top, if not the best fullback in the game in a few years. I think he's an all-round better player than Boyd, and Dugan has shown his array of skills over the course of the year, and that's why he got the nod ahead of Boyd.
