Henjack making waves at Broncos

Peter Ryan Brisbane BroncosThe tough pre-season continues up at Red Hill, with the latest casualty at the Broncos following Justin Hodges – being training assistant and former player Peter Ryan.

The former Brisbane forward has been on the training staff for a number of years at Brisbane following his playing stint with the ACT Brumbies, followed by coaching at the Reds and it’s believed several disagreements with new coach Ivan Henjack has seen Ryan resign from the club.

Ryan was primarily a defensive consultant at the Broncos and it seems the heat under Henjack may have been too much as the pre-season nears it’s end.

In addition to the Justin Hodges injury, recent Broncos drills in the sandhills has seen a couple of players bite though their tongues due to excessive workload as Henjack puts his troops through the ringer prior to their NRL Round 1 hit out against the Cowboys.

It’s believed Peter Ryan will now move to focus on his personal business interests full time.
