Round 4 of the NRL kicks off with two “blockbuster†matches on Good Friday and Scrappy Coco looks at where the value bets are.
First up two premiership favourites in the Storm $1.75 and the Dragons $2.08 go head to head at Etihad Stadium. (Dragons good value here given their form)
Both are undefeated but importantly for the Storm it is their first home game of the season and that should give them the edge.
Then on Friday night the Roosters $1.36 take on the Broncos $3.15 (enticing at these odds) who have got their fair share of problems both on and off the field. Even though the Roosters are yet to prove that last year is behind them, they should notch win number three.
On Saturday the Sharks $4.30 could play the Eels $1.22 into form but at well over $4 in a two-horse race, it might be worth throwing a lazy hundred on Ricky Stuarts men and it’s an all Queensland affair between the Cowboys $1.58 and the Titans $2.40 (good value with Titans here), because its the Cowboys always favoured at home according to bookies.
Sunday’s match between the Warriors $2.25 and the Sea Eagles $1.65 is an interesting one. The Warriors at Mt Smart are always tough to beat and they can consolidate a good start to the year with a win and look to be over the odds. (Those looking for value, punt on the Kiwis)
The Wests Tigers $1.70 can also confirm their good start if they can overcome the Raiders $2.15, which leaves a terrific double header on Monday. The Knights host the Panthers and the Rabbitohs do battle with the Bulldogs to round off an exciting Easter weekend of quality Rugby League.
