23-year old Clubb proved to be the catalyst for the Englis side as they romped home to a comfortable 36-10 win over a PNG side who can take a lot out of the tournament.
In a rare Four Nations doubleheader, it was the English side who were far too strong for PNG, and recorded their first win of the tournament to end on a high note.
Despite the English being ecstatic that they had managed to finally get a win on the board, after two losses, for PNG, despite the heart, character and big hits we saw from them, it was a disappointing tournament by their standards.
England didn’t get off to the best start, but they turned it on in style as they got into their groove at around the 15 minute mark of the first-half.
Some of the tries were scintillating, including a length of the field try from Clubb.
