Broncos romp home in trial

The Brisbane Broncos put on a clinic as they brushed aside a Titans outfit winning 42-18 courtesy of 5 tries in 15 minutes that effectively put the match to bed.

Whilst the big names were not too far away playing at Suncorp Stadium for the All-Stars match, 3,500 footy fans flocked to Wynnum-Manly’s home ground, and they were not disappointed.

It looked like the Titans may have had the early ascendancy with the Broncos letting the opening kick-off go dead, and the Titans took full advantage scoring through Esi Tonga.

The Broncos bounced back however, and quickly, scoring 5 tries in 15 minutes through exciting utility Corey Norman, centre Dale Copley, back-rower Dunamis Lui, forward Josh McGuire and forward Mitchell Frei, that effectively ended the match at half-time.

The Titans did manage to pull one try back through Sam Tagataese, but they were dealt a cruel blow, when prop Brenton Lawrence went off with a hand injury.

Tonga then crossed for a second time, and it looked like the Titans had a glimmer of hope, but that hope was lost when the Broncos scored through Alex Glenn and Josh Reed.
