Friend holds the club record at 97, for the most appearances for the Titans, who entered the NRL back in 2007.
After he made his debut for the Brisbane Broncos, he played for the Melbourne Storm, and was part of the 2006 premiership winning side, before he moved to the Titans for their inaugural season in 2007.
Dean Bell, the Warriors recruitment manager, says that he, and the club are ecstatic at securing the services of such a talented hooker.
“We’re really pleased to be able to secure a player of the highest quality in such a key position,†he said.
“It’s not often anyone rated as one of the best in a specialist role becomes available on the market. Such players are usually well tied up, so for us to get someone as talented as Nathan is a real achievement.â€
Despite leaving the Titans at the end of the year, Friend has enjoyed his time with the club as one of their foundation players.
“I’ve had a great time with the Titans. They gave me the chance to establish myself at first-grade level and I appreciate what they’ve done for me,†he said.
