Braith Anasta

If you ask him how he feels about the move, he will admit that it is on his mind frequently – but despite heading to the Tigers in season 2013 and beyond, Roosters five-eighth and captain Braith Anasta says that for the time being, his focus is solely on the Roosters.

He has admitted however that it has been difficult to not think about his pending move, as his six-year stint with the Roosters, draws to a close.

“To be honest, it’s been dawning on me all year,” Anasta said.

“It wasn’t an easy decision and it wasn’t something I thought would happen, so it’s been tough mentally because of that.

“I’ve been ready for a while now and it’s coming to an end. It will probably kick in more the last couple of weeks, but I am looking forward to the future and a new beginning.”

With the Roosters needing a win against the Eels at Parramatta Stadium on Saturday night, Anasta says that the club has no intention to take the Eels lightly, given their recent form of late.

“Watching Parramatta play against the Tigers it was 22-6 in the first half after 20 minutes so it shows how dangerous they can be,” he said.
