The Panthers have ensured they remain a good, young core of players, announcing that they have re-signed back-rower Matt Robinson on a 2-year deal, as well as signing sacked Souths utility back James Roberts, on a 2-year deal, also.
Phil Moss, the Panthers General Manager of Rugby League said: “This has been Matt’s first season with the Panthers, and we see him as a player of great potential.”
“The more he plays, the more he improves, and we look forward to his development over the next couple of years.â€
Roberts, who was sacked by the South Sydney Rabbitohs not that long ago for damaging an aged care facility, has also been picked up by the club – with Executive General Manager Phil Gould hoping that the club can get him to curb his troubled attitude and ways.
“James is obviously an elite footballing talent, who has faced some challenges in his personal life,” said Gould.
“We look forward to working with James to help him build the kind of career his talent deserves.â€
