It is no secret that Gerard Beale is to leave the Broncos once his commitments to the club are finished, but come the end of his time there in a couple of months, the Broncos is a place that he will miss.
“It’s funny, I haven’t thought too much of what lays ahead, I’ve been focused on finishing the year well at the Broncos,” he said.
“It will be emotional when the time comes to leave. I owe the Broncos a lot. I’ve been with them since my teens and they were great for me when my mum passed away.”
For Beale, Brisbane is the area that he knows and loves, having grown up in the Queensland capital – with the change of clubs, representing a significant change in his life, both for he and his family.
“I’ve grown up in Brisbane all my life so it’s going to be a challenge for sure,” Beale said.
“That time (to move) will come, so I will take it as it comes.
“It was a hard decision to make. It could have gone either way but in the end I decided on the Dragons.”
