Batley winger hits a big-time contract with Hull KR

Alex Brown

Some players start young, others make their mark as they get into their twenties – and for Batley Bulldogs winger Alex Brown, he will have the chance to make his mark in the English Super League at 25, after he signed a 1-year deal with the option of a second in favour of the club, with Hull Kingston Rovers.

Brown, who has had a brief stint in rugby union, was a stand-out for Hull KR coach Craig Sandercock, who saw a good number of Batley games.

I saw quite a lot of Batley this season and Alex was a stand out for them on the wing.

“He has good speed and is a powerful runner. Alex has some real potential and I am confident he has the ability to make the step up to Super League.”
