With several players off-contract at the end of the season, the Wakefield Wildcats have re-signed the first of what they hope is many, with veteran prop Andy Raleigh re-signing for the 2014 season.
Since arriving at the club 18 months ago from rivals Huddersfield, Raleigh has played in a total of 35 games for the club and said the decision to extend his stay was a fairly easy one.
“I’m still enjoying it and want to be playing well for Wakefield,” he said.
“I’m more than happy to sign again.”
The club is just as pleased to have retained his signature, with coach Richard Agar applauding the consistency Raleigh has shown during his time at the club.
“Andy was very consistent last year and we feel he is getting back to his best,” said Agar.
“His experience and consistency has been a strong asset to us in his time here and we’re glad to have that for another season.”
