Retaining promising juniors and youngsters for any club is imperative and after a solid start to his NRL career so far, the Penrith Panthers have made the move to act swiftly, re-signing talented fullback Matt Moylan for a further two seasons.

Moylan, a St Clair Comets and St Patricks junior, has come through the NYC ranks at Penrith with his conduct on the field and other traits the reason behind his re-signing.

“We are thrilled that Matt has recommitted to playing for the Panthers, and look forward to seeing his career flourish here at the club,” said Panthers General Manager of Rugby League Phil Moss.

Moylan is equally excited to have his future settled, as he looks forward to doing his best for the club over the next few years.

“Playing for the Panthers is electronic cigarette benefits a dream come true for me. Having being a local junior, I’m excited to be building my career at Penrith. My goal is just to play well and do the boys and the club proud,” said Moylan.

On the same day, the Panthers also announced that utility Luke Capewell has joined the club effective immediately, until the end of the 2014 NRL season.

The Panthers will be his 4th club, having enjoyed previous stints with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, the Brisbane Broncos and the Gold Coast Titans, with the club keen to to have Capewell on board given his versatility.

“We are thrilled to have Luke sign on with us. His versatility on the field allows him to play in a number of different positions, which will add depth to our ranks,” said Moss.
