Player movement is common in rugby league and each individual player does it for their own reasons, but it is the Bradford Bulls who are celebrating right now, with the signing of Huddersfield Giants back-rower and Scottish International, Dale Ferguson.
With several other clubs interested in acquiring the up and coming back-rower, it was Bradford who beat them to the punch, with the club excited to have signed him for the next 2 years.
â€œIâ€™ve looked at Dale and thought â€˜he could be great for us,” said Bradford coach Francis Cummins.
“Heâ€™s not the tallest but heâ€™s strong and heâ€™s full on.
â€œAfter the developments with Elliott, I needed a back-rower and Dale was the man I wanted.
â€œHe tends to go under Online Blackjack the radar but heâ€™s consistent and has strike power as well, as he showed against us at the Magic Weekend.
â€œItâ€™s really pleasing that heâ€™s chosen us over other clubs, especially ones he is familiar with. Heâ€™s heard about what is going on here and wants to be part of it.â€
Omar Khan, the Bulls owner is also pleased, highlighting how key the signing was to the club.
â€œIâ€™m delighted to welcome Dale to the Bulls,” said Khan.
“He is an exciting signing for us and I am sure he will have a successful career at the club. We faced opposition from several clubs for his signature but he was impressed with what Francis outlined to him and chose to come here.â€
