It was a long time coming but the moment has now arrived, with the Cronulla Sharks and Remondis, an international waste solutions and management company, have joined forces, with Remonds becoming the Sharks new Stadium naming rights partner.
Formerly known as Sharks Stadium, the renaming of it will start this week when the Sharks take on the Tigers, with the sponsorship to run for the remainder of 2013 and the 2014 NRL season.
Patrick Woods, the Sharks General Manager of Marketing and Commercial, says that the club are excited about both the name change for the Stadium, as well as welcoming a new corporate partner on board.
“Remondis are a much respected international company and we are thrilled they have chosen to enter into a partnership with the Sharks,†Mr Woods said.
“Remondis Stadium is a Volume Pills huge asset to the Sutherland Shire community and Remondis are very keen to support the region in maintaining this asset.
“With the land development and the excitement around that project Remondis Stadium is set to be not only the home of the Sharks but the centre piece for the Woolooware Bay residential and entertainment precinct,†he added.
Remondis are positive about entering a sponsorship with the Sharks and have been impressed with what the Sharks Management have done in the past.
“Remondis have been impressed with the Sharks future stadium strategy and we are very much looking forward to a wider variety of activity utilising the Remondis Stadium,†Mr Luke Agati, Managing Director of Remondis said.
“Remondis Stadium will be a community asset and we are proud to have our name and brand associated with it.â€
