Grant Millington

Bulldogs and Sharks fans might remember him from his days at their clubs, with forward Grant Millington now at Castleford and staying on for a further year, signing a new 1-year deal.

Off-contract at the end of the year, the club sought to tie up Millington for a further year, with the forward playing 37 games for Castleford to date and scoring six tries in the process.

For Millington, he is excited to stay and is enjoying his time at the club so far.

“I’m delighted to have extended my contract at Castleford Tigers,” he said.

“Since Daryl Powell arrived at the Club, he has given me back my confidence and has encouraged me to develop my game since my injury. I’ve started to enjoy my rugby again which is important.

“I’ve been very impressed by Daryl – everyone knows their roles and responsibilities and there is accountability. There’s competition for places and I electronic cigarette nyjoy know that if I don’t perform, then I’ll drop out.

“I know that I can’t rest now though. Both individually and as a team we have to keep working hard and build for next season in order for it to be successful, and I’ll certainly be playing my part in doing that.”

One person who has been impressed with Millington, is Tigers coach Daryl Powell, who praised the forward for his consistency.

“Grant has been a stand out performer since I arrived at the Club. His game has been consistent and of high quality over the past two months and his re-signing further creates stability looking towards next season,” said Powell.

“Alongside Grant’s playing ability are his leadership skills which have been a big part within the team’s growth.

“I’m looking forward to working with Grant for the remainder of this season and the next, as we drive our development as a team.”
