He is one of the most revered and favourite players of many Penrith fans and today, the captain and hooker has re-signed with the club for a further season.
Captaining the side since the middle of the 2012 season, Kingston’s experience has proved invaluable to the young and emerging Panthers side, who are looking to make a fist of things with around a third of the season to go.
With his new contract, Kingston will again captain the club in 2014 with the veteran excited to stay at the club for the future.
“It’s a privilege to be staying on at the Panthers. I love the club and the team, and my family and I didn’t really want to be anywhere else next season,” said Kingston.
“The Electronic Cigarettes team is working really well together and is continually improving, and with the direction the club is going, the future is very bright at Penrith.
“I’d like to thank Ivan, Gus and the club for giving me another opportunity to wear the Penrith coloursâ€.
The club is also excited to have retained the veteran, with General Manager of Rugby League Phil Moss praising his leadership on and off the field.
“We are really pleased Kevin has agreed to stay on at Penrith,” said Moss.
“He is a dynamic player and a great leader, on and off the field. The team trusts and respects him, and the younger players really look up to him. I’m confident he will continue to lead us in the right direction next yearâ€.
