Edrick Lee

Had it not been for a broken arm, he would have played a lot more footy in 2013 but the Canberra Raiders have received a boost moving forward, retaining exciting winger Edrick Lee on a new long-term deal.

The new deal will see Lee remain at the Raiders until the end of 2017, the first Raider to commit to the club until that year.

For Edrick, he is excited to have his future settled, excited at the direction the club is going in & he is looking forward to working under Ricky Stuart next year.

“It’s fantastic to have my long term future secured at the club where I made my debut and who I love playing for,” Edrick Lee said.

“I can’t wait to get back into pre-season training in a couple of weeks’ time and work with Ricky Stuart.

“It’s going to be a hard pre-season but I’m keen to get it started and try and cement a place in the Raiders NRL team.”

Equally excited are the Raiders, who are keen to secure the services of a lot of their young stars moving forward, Edrick being one of them.

“Edrick is a wonderful talent who has shown he is a star in the making and we’re very happy to see him remain loyal to the club where he started and sign a long term deal with the Raiders,” Canberra Raiders CEO Don Furner said.

“We’re working hard on securing our young talent on long term deals and Edrick is one of the first to commit to the club which is fantastic news for our members.”
