Yileen Gordon

He is a player that has had his fair share of incidents and has found it hard to crack first-grade for some time and he has once again done himself no favours, with the Wests Tigers terminating the contract of Yileen Gordon effective immediately.

The decision was reached after CEO Grant Mayer met with Gordon, after he breached his playing terms and conditions as a part of his contract.

The incident occurred during a school visit, after Gordon scrawled an offensive message on a board at said school visit.

Although the Tigers were not aware of the incident at first, it was the school that alerted the club to it, due to its offensive nature.

“As soon as we discovered the nature of the comment, we decided that termination was the only option regardless of who the culprit was,” club CEO Grant Mayer said

“Wests Tigers takes its position as a leader in the community very seriously and has high expectations of all its players.”

The NRL have been made aware of the incident and of the Tigers’ position.
