After a recent move to extend his rugby league career saw him head to the Wakefield Wildcats, Australian prop Scott Anderson has now extended his stay with the club.
The new deal will see the prop remain in Wakefield until the end of the 2016 season.
After arriving at the start of the season, the former Brisbane Broncos and Melbourne Storm forward is pleased to prolong his stay with the Wildcats.
“It’s been pretty short negotiations because I’m really enjoying myself here at Wakefield so I’m excited,†said Anderson.
“It was a little bit of a slow start because I didn’t have a pre-season under my belt but getting a few games and getting the game time I think I’m starting to show some good football.”
Wakefield head coach Richard Agar has been pleased with the work-rate and play of Anderson and knows how valuable his experience will be for the side.
“Scott’s had a promising start for us and been pretty consistent throughout,†said Agar.
“He’s shown his experience, carried the ball really well for us and fitted into our organisation well.
“He’s a tough kid and we think he’ll get better. It’s a different style to what he probably played in at his previous clubs but we think he’s coming good and we’ve been happy with his performances.â€
