Following an impressive start to the season, the Castleford Tigers have acted swiftly to re-sign veteran half Liam Finn until the end of 2016.
The 30-year-old joined the club from Featherstone Rovers and since making his debut, has helped propel the Tigers into a formidable side.
Initially signing on for one year to see how he would feel, the seasoned half is pleased to have re-signed for a couple more seasons.
“I came to Castleford initially for one year to try and take the opportunity and see where it took me so for the club to want to keep me for a bit longer is pleasing,” said Finn.
“It’s pleasing that I’ve managed to do a good enough job to earn a new contract and hopefully I can kick on and establish myself as a Super League player.”
Daryl Powell is no stranger to working with Finn having done so at both Featherstone and Castleford, with the head coach pleased that the club has re-signed the veteran.
“I’m delighted that Liam has signed a new contract to stay with the club after an outstanding season for him to date,” he said.
“His organisation abilities are superb, alongside his leadership qualities and deep understanding of the game.”
