Good form results in new deal for Titans prop

Matt White

With the likes of Nate Myles, Greg Bird and Ashley Harrison in the Gold Coast Titans line-up, some of the other players are hardly mentioned or noticed.

Despite that, though, players like Matt White are toilers and go about their business quietly but efficiently.

That is a big reason as to why the Titans have awarded the 30-year-old with a new contract, after some stellar form on his part.

As a result, the Titans prop has been awarded with a new 2-year deal.

After missing most of the 2013 season due to an ACL injury, White has bounced back in the best way possible and loves playing for the Titans.

“As a young player, my dream was to play in the NRL like many kids and this contract will bring me to the 12 years as an NRL player which I’m proud of coming, particularly coming from the bush, and also feel very fortunate,” he said.

“I’ve had six years at the Titans now and love playing here; I have a great relationship with the coaching staff and the other boys and want to do my bit to bring the club success.

“It’s a relief after coming off the knee reconstruction to now have my future settled but I know I have to keep performing to stay in the side with a lot of depth in the front row.”
