Cody Walker

Whilst they might be flying relatively high on the NRL ladder, the South Sydney Rabbitohs know how crucial depth is to a side and that is why they have signed Melbourne Storm youngster Cody Walker on a 2-year deal.

Walker, who is the reigning QLD Cup Player of the Year is enjoying a spell with the Melbourne Storm and their feeder side, the Easts Tigers, although new opportunity is one that players always pursue.

Predominantly a five-eighth, he is the sort of player that can add some depth and starch to an NRL side or a feeder team and the move gives Souths some additional halves to choose from.

With the club having had their eye on him for some time, they know just how talented he can be.

“Cody has been on our radar for a while and we’re pleased to have secured his services for the next two seasons,” said Rabbithos coach Michael Maguire.

“He’s proven himself at Queensland Cup level and we’re looking forward to working with him and introducing him to our full time squad next season.”
