Experience is crucial for any side and with halves dictating the play and style of the game, re-signing quality players is an important aspect for any team.
This was recognised by Super League side, the Catalan Dragons, who re-signed veteran French half Thomas Bosc for another season with the option of a further 12 months.
Bosc, a member of the inaugural 2006 Dragons squad, is the club’s top point-scorer and with the 10-year anniversary of the club coming up in a couple of seasons, the Frenchman is proud to be a part of it.
“I’m really happy to sign a new contract with the club I’ve been playing for since 2006,” said Bosc.
“We’ll celebrate in 2015 the 10th season of the Dragons in Super League and I’m really proud to be a part of it.
“I’m happy and very grateful for the opportunity the club’s given me over many years and I want to do my best to repay the faith they showed in me.”
Club coach Laurent Frayssinous praised the re-signing, highlighting the experience and class that Bosc brings to the table.
“It’s great news to keep Thomas at the club,” said Frayssinous.
“He is a key player in the team and his experience, his knowledge of the game and the club, and his qualities on and off the field will be valuable in the squad.
“It was important to me to know I could rely on him for the seasons to come.”
