A talented back-rower who excelled in the Holden Cup and the NSW Cup for the New Zealand Warriors, Abraham Papalii is on the lookout for a new challenge and he has found it.
Signing with the Sydney Roosters for the next two seasons, the move North signals a new challenge for the back-rower, widely regarded as one of the Warriors best in recent years.
With a back-row spot and additional back-row depth up for grabs at the Roosters, it is a chance for Papalii to taste first-grade action.
Additionally, from the club’s perspective, it is a chance to see what a talented back-rower like Papalii can do.
“Big, fast and skilful, Abraham is a wide-running back rower with a lot of potential, and we’re pleased to have him join us here at the Roosters,†said Roosters recruitment manager, Peter O’Sullivan.
“Athletically, Abraham is a top-line NRL player. He still has a way to go, but we have no doubt that with some hard work, he’ll add some great depth to our NRL squad,†he added.
