Former Dragons head coach joins the Storm as coaching consultant

Nathan Brown

The move might not please the St George Illawarra diehards but some will be pleased to see him back involved in the NRL, with the Melbourne Storm appointing Nathan Brown in a coaching consultant role.

The current deal is for the 2015 season only, with Brown to work alongside the club’s dummy halves players and act as an assistant in a recruitment capacity.

The club are pleased to have Brown on board and look forward to having him work with their numerous assistant coaches on match-day matters and player matters.

“We are pleased to have Nathan join Storm in a consultancy role,” said Storm Director of Football, Frank Ponissi.

“From the study trips Craig and I have undertaken in AFL, NFL and European soccer, opposition scouting is an area we have found clubs have put resources to.

We see this as another tool that our coaching staff in Adam O’Brien, Justin Morgan and Anthony Seibold can use as part of preparing the team for the opposition each week.”
