Justin Hodges

A club stalwart for many years now, his time in the NRL will cease, as Brisbane Broncos centre Justin Hodges confirms that he will retire at the completion of the current season.

Hodges, who has had a decorated career to date spanning almost 250 NRL games and plentiful representative games for Queensland and Australia, knew that it was the right time.

“I just want to thank my family and friends, all the coaches, staff and past teammates at the Broncos, and all the fans for the support they have given me over my career,” said Hodges today.

“I just feel now is the right time to announce this so the team and I can concentrate on playing our best football for the Broncos for the rest of the season.”

A further announcement and more details will be made at a press conference.

Hodges, who did have a contract with the club for 2016 and has shown resilience to bounce back from injury over the years, knew that his body had had enough.
