One of their most talented in recent years that has come through the ranks, Yaw Kiti Glymin has re-signed with the St George Illawarra Dragons, just weeks after making his NRL debut.
The local Arncliffe junior is a product of the Dragons youth system and came through their Holden Cup ranks and the 22-year old is pleased to stay with the club.
“I am really happy to have the opportunity to continue playing for the Dragons having worked my way up from their junior grades to first-grade over the years,†said Glymin.
“It’s every player’s dream to someday represent their childhood team and I am fortunate that I was recently given the chance to do just that with the Dragons.
“My goal now is to continue contributing to the first-grade squad as well as continuing my development under the guidance of Head Coach Paul McGregor.â€
The club are well aware of his talents and are equally pleased to have kept the talented winger on board for another two seasons.
“Kiti is a talented athlete developed through our junior pathway systems who we believe has a bright future in the game,†said Dragons Director of Recruitment and Retention, Peter Mulholland.
“Kiti joined our full-time NRL squad in the pre-season and earned his first-grade debut following his efforts in training and performances with the Illawarra Cutters in the NSW Cup, it was just unfortunate that he suffered the untimely injury in his debut game.
“We look forward to his continued development at the Club and are very pleased that he has made the decision to remain with the Dragons for at least the next two seasonsâ€.
