Regarded as one of the best young prospects yet to play first-grade, Jayden Nikorima has had heads turning and fans applauding after a recent spectacular run of form the Brisbane Broncos.
Come next year, they will no longer have the opportunity to see that, with the Sydney Roosters beating out a handful of NRL sides in the quest to sign Nikorima.
The live-wire utility who has wowed fans and excelled in numerous positions over the past couple of seasons, has signed a 3-year deal with the Roosters from 2016.
Such is his talent that many believe it is a matter of when and not if he plays first-grade and Roosters Recruitment Manager Peter O’Sullivan knows he has the quality to do so.
“Jayden is a wonderfully talented young man who can play in the halves, at hooker or fullback and we’re pleased to have secured his services,†said O’Sullivan.
“Jayden possesses brilliant speed and a running game to bring balance to our squad and we look forward to watching him develop on and off the footy field in the coming years,†he added.
