Eels utility given release and heads East to the Shire

Joseph Paulo

Love him or hate him, he played a role at the Parramatta Eels but after several years with the club, Joseph Paulo and the Eels have now parted ways.

The Eels issued a short, brief statement on the matter:

The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have today released Joseph Paulo from the final year of his contract with the club.

Joseph has played 86 games in Blue and Gold since joining the Eels in 2011, and the club wishes him all the best for his future.

With the release comes a two year deal with the Cronulla Sharks and the club are looking forward to having him on board, especially coach Shane Flanagan.

“Joseph is a skilful player, and he will be a welcome addition to our squad,” Flanagan said.

“We’re putting together a strong roster ahead of 2016, and Paulo will only add to what we’re looking to build at the Club for next season and beyond.”
