A favourite son of many Sydney Roosters fans, Mitchell Aubusson has re-signed with the club until the end of the 2019 season, a move that is likely to see him finish his career at the club.
The Tricolours club have been a part of Aubusson’s career for many years now and after committing to the club for a further three seasons, Aubusson could not be happier.
“It’s an honour to wear the Roosters jersey and I honestly couldn’t see myself playing anywhere else,†said Aubusson.
“I’ve been with the Roosters since I was 16 and the Club and everyone who’s a part of it mean the world to me,†he added.
A two-time James Matthews Award winner for Clubman of the Year in 2011 and 2015, Aubusson is currently in his 10th season of first-grade.
To date, he has played 205 NRL games, and is much revered by Roosters staffers and he drew praise from coach Trent Robinson.
“Mitch is a true Clubman and someone not only I but everyone at the Roosters values,†said Robinson.
“Mitch is a significant contributor to the team on the field, but just as importantly, he’s a man who also leads by example away from the footy field, and to ensure that we have him here for a number of years is great news for the Roosters,†he added.
