With several injuries to their halves limiting their available options, the Parramatta Eels have welcomed back a former player, with Jeff Robson signing for the remainder of the year.
33-year old Robson, who was a member of the Eels side that made it all the way to the 2009 grand final, played 61 games for the club from 2009 to 2011.
Robson has also played for the Manly Sea Eagles, the Cronulla Sharks and the New Zealand Warriors, but has returned home to be closer to his family.
Given the need for an experienced half to steer the ship, the Eels got Robson back on board and that experience is crucial for the club.
“Jeff is a very experienced playmaker who will add depth to our side this season,†Head Coach Brad Arthur said.
“He’ll also be a great asset to work alongside the young and developing centres and second rowers in our reserve grade side.â€
