Former NRL utility back re-signs at Catalans

Krisnan Inu

Remembered as the smiling assassin in NRL circles for his cheeky smile when goal-kicking, Krisnan Inu will stay in the Super League after re-signing for a further two years with Catalans.

The new 2-year deal will see the experienced utility back remain at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium until the end of 2018 and he could not be happier.

“I’m grateful for the club’s faith in re-signing me for another two seasons, and I’m blessed to be at such a great club with an even better bunch of players and fans.”

Having been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, Inu did enough to show the club and coach Laurent Frayssinous that he was worthy of a new contract.

“I am delighted to keep Krisnan with us for the next two seasons. Since his arrival at the club, he has never been able to show us his whole talent despite proving at the start of the season he was one of the best centres in the competition.

“He is working really hard at the moment to come back to his best and I’m really looking forward to seeing him on the field again,” said Frayssinous.

“He has settled really well here, not only in the team but in the region as well. He is one of the fans’ favourite players, not only for his on-field skills but also for his human qualities away from it.”
