With a new club now confirmed for Cameron McInnes, he is hoping that the St George Illawarra Dragons can be the club where his career continues to grow.
With the impending signing of Robbie Farah at Souths, McInnes knew that to get an opportunity, he had to move elsewhere. With Mitch Rein told he has no future at the club, a spot for the Dragons opened up for McInnes.
“I’m really happy about,” said McInnes, the newest addition to the Dragons side.
“I’m really excited to join the Red V.”
McInnes won’t be on his own at the Dragons, having played alongside two current Dragons players.
“I’ve played alongside both Drew Hutchison and Euan Aitken,” McInnes said.
“They’re both great young players and I played with them in the junior Kangaroos a couple of years back.
“I’ve watched a lot of Dragons games this year and we played them twice, so it’s always a tough game against them.”
McInnes will begin with the Dragons in November for pre-season training.
