Gold Coast Titans winger Anthony Don

He quickly became a fan favourite and having now established himself, the Gold Coast Titans have re-signed winger Anthony Don for a further two seasons.

Since debuting back in 2013 for the club, the now 30-year old has played in 106 games for the Titans and scored 63 tries.

2017 was a good year for Don, who represented Country Origin and won the club’s Player of the Year, the Paul Broughton Medal.

There was no denying the joy for Don in re-signing with the club that he loves and calls home.

“I love this club and the Gold Coast,” Don said.

“They gave me a chance as a 25-year-old and it’s been great to represent my local region at NRL level.

“I’ve enjoyed every minute with the Titans.”

After the way his side bounced back to win over the weekend, Don believes the club can do good things moving forward.

“We’ve got a great bunch of guys here and after performances like last weekend, I know we have the potential to do something special over the next few years,” he continued.

A true Titan every sense, Don drew praise from coach Garth Brennan.

“I’ve said before how much Anthony means to this football club,” the Titans coach said.

“He is Mr. Reliable on that right wing and we all know that each week he will go out there and do his job for the team.”

Brennan never has to worry about Don faltering because he knows his winger will perform his role with pride and passion.

“He is someone the members and fans love and he’s a player that I enjoy coaching,” Brennan continued.

“You always know what you’re going to get, and I can trust him to play his role.”
