In another world, he may have stayed on, but with opportunity likely to be lacking in 2020, Danny Levi was granted a release by the Newcastle Knights to sign with the Manly Sea Eagles.
Levi, who made his debut in the game back in 2015, has played in 83 games to date, all with the Knights.
The hooker has also represented the Kiwis at the international level, and officially joins the Sea Eagles for one season.
Levi has also represented Samoa and provides the Sea Eagles with a boost in the hooking department.
With uncertainty over the future of Manase Fainu, Levi’s addition will be a welcome sight for Manly fans.
