Injuries have hit the New Zealand Warriors forwards hard but they have added Jack Murchie to their roster.
Murchie, who is a highly touted forward from the Canberra Raiders has already joined his new Warriors teammates at their Terrigal base.
With the need for some depth after key injuries, Murchie’s signing is a welcome relief for the Warriors.
“Jack joins us with an opportunity and expectation to play NRL,” said Warriors head coach Stephen Kearney.
“He comes highly recommended and we look forward to giving us some depth leading into our return to the competition next week.”
Murchie, who is from Ulladulla, started with the Sydney Roosters where he won an SG Ball premiership.
Murchie is grateful for the opportunity and looks forward to making his mark at the Warriors.
“I’m looking forward to a new start and the chance to join the Warriors and hopefully contribute to the team,” he said.
“I’ve played with and against a lot of the boys and I’m excited to join the squad and hopefully playing some good footy moving forward.”
