Size, power, speed and skill; it is what all teams look for and the New Zealand Warriors think they have found it in Junior Ratuva.
The hulking Fijian winger has signed on with the Warriors until the end of the 2022 season.
Ratuva, who came through the Melbourne Storm’s system, impressed the Warriors with his prolific try-scoring abilities.
“Junior is one of the best athletes I’ve come across in my time in footy,” said Warriors recruitment manager Peter O’Sullivan.
“His progress has been hampered by injury but he’s now back in training.”
With potential in spades, O’Sullivan and the Warriors are backing him to become a first-grade regular.
“We expect him to develop into a high-class NRL player with some game time under his belt,” O’Sullivan continued.
“Junior has worked really hard on his rehab and is primed to hit the ground running in 2021.”
