Making the most of their opportunities, both Royce Hunt and Siosifa Talakai have re-signed with the Cronulla Sharks.
Hunt will play on with the Sharks for two more seasons, with Talakai committing to a further season.
With the Sharks forward pack depleted, both Talakai and Hunt have impressed fans with their work-rate and aggression.
Sharks coach John Morris praised the hard work of Talakai and Hunt, who have been key players off the bench.
“It’s great news for the club that Sifa and Royce have extended their contracts,” Morris said.
“They both came to the club on a train and trial basis looking for an opportunity,” said Morris.
Through sheer hard work, they have not only been rewarded with a contract extension but have played their way into our NRL team.”
As well as their drive and desire on the field, Morris was also quick to praise Hunt and Talakai for their efforts off it.
“Sifa and Royce bring a point of difference to our team, both possessing good size, leg speed and power and they love the physicality of the game,” Morris continued.
“Maybe even more importantly they are also of good character off the field and are hungry to succeed.”
