The North American Rugby League competition has another key scalp, with the New York Freedom signing former NRL player Tony Williams.

Williams played in 170 NRL games for several clubs; the Parramatta Eels, Canterbury Bulldogs, Manly Sea Eagles, and Cronulla Sharks.

Williams also represented both Australia and Tonga on the international stage and oozes experience.

It is that experience that the New York Freedom want to utilise to help the younger brigade of players at their disposal.

Williams has also represented NSW in State of Origin and the Australian PMXIII’s side.

Most recently, Williams has been representing the Windsor Wolves in the Ron Massey Cup.
