One thought on “NRL Teams Round 20 2008”
  1. Hi, NRL Supporters,
Warren Ryan in last week’s Courier Mail paper made the following intersting & informative assessments as to how to sort out this year’s NRL Premiership winner.
Note the following historical facts :
1-There have been 18 teams to contest the G. F. since the start of the Mc Intyre system in 1999 spaning nine Grand Finals.
2-There have been only two teams outside the top four to play in those G.F’s and both teams have lost….namely St. George in 1999 (5th) & I think the Cowboys in 2005 ( ? 6th).
Currently, the top four consist of Manly, Melbourne, Cronulla & Sydney Roosters, so if these remain the same at after Rd 26 then it is highly unlikely, going on past records, the Premiership winner will come from outside these four teams.
So therefore, we have a very possible situation where we can narrow it down to these four teams as being the winner. Take your pick !!!!!!
I really think it will be Melbourne who will create history as the only team to win back to back Premierships in the last 9 years.
    Cheers,
    George Masters.
