After putting in an early guilty plea, in form backrower Corey Payne has been given a 1 match ban.
Payne was charged for hitting Parramatta’s Jarryd Hayne in the face during the Eels’ 40-12 win over the Tigers on Monday night.
Also in trouble this week, Tom Learoyd-Lahrs faces the judiciary after a dangerous tackle on Cross during their match against the Knights. The decision may even end his season.
If Learoyd-Lahrs disputes the ruling he will face up to seven weeks if he is found guilty.
Enteirng a guilty please will reduce the charge to a grade-three charge and result in a three-match ban allowing Learoyd-Lahrs to get back on the field for the first week of the finals.
