Whether or not Parramatta’s Feleti Mateo will play this Saturday night against the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium is a question that remains unanswered.  The Saturday night clash is a must win for the Eels and the absence of Mateo will definitely not go unnoticed if he were to in fact sit the game out.Yet to train, Mateo has been focussing on rehabilitation work after suffering a knee injury in the Eels’ 40-12 white wash over the Wests Tigers on Monday night.

Obviously the Eels are still hopeful the playmaker will recover in time for Saturday’s do or die match, in which they need to win to keep their finals hopes alive.

Also in doubt, winger Joel Reddy is trying to overcome a hamstring strain in order to play against the Dogs.

Coach Michael Hagan together with his coaching staff are assessing the pair today.  Both Mateo and Reddy are likely to be given until game day to prove they are both fit to play.

A final concern lies with Taulima Tautai.  Speculation is, however, that the winger is expected to play.
