There has been talk all week of Willie Mason linking with the Manly Sea Eagles, and it seems the possibility of Big Willie becoming a Silvertail firms with every single day.
Several media offices and online outlets reported the possible link between Mason and the Sea Eagles, but judging by the talk on internet forums and Rugby League message boards – the mail on Mason seems not only true, but the big man may have already verbally agreed to terms.
Given his bargain basement price, with the Roosters willing to let him go very cheap – the possibility of Manly fitting him under their cap is certainly realistic.
If the talk proves true, Mason could fill a Ben Kennedy like role at the Manly club.
With Orford now gone, Mason steps nicely into a senior role and with his motivational ability on field – he would add plenty to the pack, given the existing stars such as Anthony Watmough, Josh Perry, Brent Kite and Glenn Hall.
